Letter from the Chapter

As the Vice President of Membership for Sigma Kappa I am so excited to give you a look into our sisterhood. Oregon State University has 12 amazing Panhellenic chapters that you will get to meet by going through fall formal recruitment.

Joining Sigma Kappa was easily the greatest decision I have made in my undergraduate career. Despite common misconceptions about Greek life, being in sorority is not about the clothes you wear, what you look like, or “paying for your friends.” Being in Sigma Kappa means surrounding yourself with passionate, confident and strong women who want what is best for you. My sisters stand by me through the toughest of times and celebrate with the me during the greatest times. They have challenged me to be the greatest version of myself and helped me to grow as a leader and an individual.

I feel so incredibly fortunate to have found my sisters and best friends that I will have with me for the rest of my life. I have found the people to laugh with, cry with, and order pizza with in the middle of the night. Myself, and all of my sisters, are so excited for you to find your home away from home, like I did, through Formal Recruitment 2017!
